Welcome to Gardenside Lodge, a quiet hideaway located in the peaceful village of Low Etherley, County Durham.
The lodge is owned by Kenny and Glad who have lived here for 28 years.
Gardenside Lodge serves as the ideal base for exploring the beauty and history of County Durham and The Dales. Offering a relaxing feel, the lodge is perfect for those seeking a peaceful retreat or those who enjoy watching their children run around in their own 'private park'.
Gardenside Lodge is set in a large private garden and offers a tranquil escape that guests describe as magical. Among the many charming spots is the folly, where you can gather with loved ones around a crackling fire, enjoying a glass of wine and creating cherished memories. Private patios surrounded by beautiful lush gardens provide a relaxing setting to enjoy your morning coffee or soak up the sunshine.
Inside, you'll find a welcoming living space with dining area, double bedroom, bunk room, shower room and a fully equipped kitchen.
Location
The village boasts an array of countryside walks, offering opportunities for leisurely strolls. We are a short drive (10 minutes) away from local amenities such as supermarkets, shops, cafes and restaurants.
Surrounded by countryside and conveniently located near landmarks and attractions such as Kynren, Raby Castle, Auckland Castle, The Spanish Art Gallery, The Faith Museum and many more.
Public Transport
Please note that while public transportation is available, it is limited, and it is best to have a car for convenient access to attractions such as High Force, Barnard Castle, and Beamish Museum which can all be accessed by car within 30 to 60 minutes.
Accommodation
The accommodation is on one level with 3 steps at the front and low level access at the rear. Due to the size of the accommodation we would not recommend our property for those who use a wheelchair or those with children under 2.
Gardenside Lodge offers free secure parking for 2 cars.
Pet Friendly
We are dog-friendly, (maximum 2 dogs, due to the size of the property).

Driveway parking available for 2 cars.
Driveway gates are locked at night.
